Valentine’s Day is the one day in the year made for lovers.
It is this one day that does not include anyone else. Not your parents. Not his parents. Not work or friends or neighbors. Not even your children. (Although making a special breakfast-in-bed for mommy can be a fun team project! Wink Wink!)
In this day and age, people tend to not want to celebrate Valentine’s Day because "it just costs too much". It takes too much time. It is too much effort... Does that not mean that we are missing the point?
Valentine’s Day is simply about spending 5 minutes with your lover to recapture the love you felt before life got so damn busy? I mean, just take a few minutes for the two of you. Be it in a 5 star restaurant with fabulous food or on your terrace, overlooking the stars while the evening breeze cools you from the summer heat. Catch up, drink some wine, relax and fall in love all over again.
My favourite Valentine’s wine is Kanu’s Merlot Rosé. But you know what? Any good wine would do!
So go ahead. Take a few minutes and let love grow.
